I want to contribute but having an issue with building from source

I really would like to start contributing to the project and spent a good amount of time setting everything up for it but got stuck at the final step. I posted in the forum and have not gotten responses so hoping I can get some help if possible.

• I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate.
• I have searched the documentation and believe that my question is not covered.
