~25%+ of objects not loading for some non-host players after ~5+ players in-game on 600 object count map #494

What were you trying to do before the issue occurred?

I created a Duck Hunt map on Standoff with roughly 600 items give or take, it consists of a massive city wall for the Hunter in a sniper's nest, and a small construction building on the outskirts where the ducks run.

What happened?

I tested the map multiple times during Forge to make sure there were no issues, and there weren't any. Then, I tested the map with a friend of mine and everything ran smoothly so I opened up a server and got a full lobby - from that point on some users would start lagging pretty hard network-wise, basically teleporting every now and then and some other users weren't able to see some parts of the map, and therefore were basically able to run through walls or would fall off the map -- this does not happen to me (the host) at any point during this test. So, I thought maybe the issue lies with players counting as objects, pushing the object count over the limit etc, so I hopped in forge and removed a couple of objects but the issue was still happening - this however does not happen for players in the Sniper's Nest, only the ones running within the construction building.

What did you expect to happen?

Objects not despawning, obviously.

How can the issue be reproduced?

Please be as descriptive as possible.

  1. Load up the map

  2. Get a couple of players to join a ~560-628 object count map

  3. ???

  4. Not profit, some people are teleporting, some aren't loading the entire map, some are falling through floors, but it doesn't happen to the host at all, which makes me believe this could be an issue with how players retrieve object info from the server.

I've noticed similar things on forged maps (i.e Sanctuary remake) when the game is setup for "multiple rounds" (i.e Assault variant).

Usually, the objects load correctly on the first round of the game, but after the round ends and the scoreboard appears and the map resets for the next round, some objects are missing.

I can confirm this as well. I have tested a creation of mine on two maps with VIP and Infection gametypes. The object count is around 570-580 for Infection and 590 for VIP. Additionally, it seems as if this bug is brought on by an attacker/defender gametype. Whenever a non-host player is on the defending side everything spawns in as normal, but when the same player switches to the attacking side for the next round some objects will not spawn.

I made a second copy of Eldewrito to test this and have screenshots of what the host sees vs. what the non-host player sees.
