Table columns can be aligned by adding a trailing/leading colon to the delimiter-row:

| Default-Left | Center-Aligned | Right-Aligned |
| ------------ | :------------: | ------------: |

Additionally, the text in the row can also be visually aligned with spaces to follow the column's alignment:

| Default-Left | Center-Aligned | Right-Aligned |
| ------------ | :------------: | ------------: |
| Cell 1       |     Cell 2     |        Cell 3 |
