Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
My Samsung notebook had an "outdoor+ mode" under windows which raised the perceived brightness by at least 100%. I think it just did some clever gamma corrections, as the "white" if the display is already extremly bright, but darker parts of the image are not that well visible in sunlight.

Would be nice if Clight could replicate that automagically – if it detects a very bright environment.

Describe the solution you'd like
If that's an Intel / Samsung feature, I'm also happy to spend some time gathering data on how this is done (under Windows) — if you could point me in the right direction here :)

Hi! That is actually a neat idea!
Clight could add a outdoor_threshold option, and when ambient brightness is greater than that, automatically enable outdoor mode :)
Can you share some snapshots/pictures? I'd like to understand how is screen gamma corrected!
Thanks!
