I recently started trying out Publii, so others can correct me if I am wrong: the best way right now seems to be what is described here: https://getpublii.com/blog/managing-static-website-on-multiple-computers.html

For completeness, perhaps also check out: https://getpublii.com/docs/publii-on-multiple-computers-via-dropbox.html -- updated April 5 2023.

For the ones who don't want to use the cloud: I use a syncing tool to keep my Publii projects up to date on my Macs. I use Resilio Sync, a paid one, but there others for free, e.g. SyncThing

I think this should be a priority for Publii to be used by smaller teams. I.e. it makes little sense that multiple authors can post, but the software is difficult to use in a team / multi-device environment.

Since Publii already has capabilities to have Git as a server for the static website; I think it makes sense to allow Publii to have the working files managed using Git.
This configuration should be site based.
Everytime the user publices the working files to be commited to Git and merged to master.
