I absolutely love that people are making use of my software and am happy to help with any problems! But please follow the rules below when interacting with this issue tracker:

  • Please make sure you are using the latest version of snscrape.
  • Please only submit issues or comments related to snscrape itself.
    • In particular, I can't provide support for modified versions of snscrape, unsupported Python versions, proxy issues, particular environments (e.g. Conda, Jupyter Notebook, or your favourite cloud platform), downstream use of snscrape data (e.g. ingestion into ML tools/databases or transformation to other file formats like CSV), or general Python or terminal questions/problems (e.g. 'how do I read JSONL in Python?' or 'how to append snscrape's output to an existing file?').
  • Please search the issues for duplicates of your question/issue/feature request before opening one.
  • Please do not comment on random issues with questions unrelated to the issue.
  • When filing an issue, please select the appropriate template (don't choose 'question' when you see snscrape crash, for example), and include as many details as possible.
  • I close issues fairly aggressively when there is no reaction to questions/comments. Feel free to comment again afterwards if you feel like the concern hasn't been addressed.
