Read and write permissions

One of the requirements is "All R/W rights on your home folder and the installer folder". Does this just mean that the user should have access to these directories (i.e. a basic Linux installation with no custom funky permission changes), or should something special be done to the home and installer directories (such as giving a certain group beyond the user these permissions or something)?

The main raisons why this is in requirement is that some people tries to install it in root folder and some had issue with permissions on the home folder.

But any Linux installation should have this requirement by default in your home folder.

So you should be good to go

Not sure if I should make a new discussion thread about another question but does Photoshop and your other Illustrator for Linux repo need Wine Mono to function correctly? If so, how do I install them in their own prefix?

Mono installation are prompted when you create a prefix so it should prompt it on install

Hmm, it didn't for me. Does that mean that it used the already installed mono from my default prefix? Sorry if my question is stupid.

In my case wine Mono installs once per wine version on the first prefix init so it might already be installed.

Just try and if something is going wrong it should just throw an error.
