I made a post on https://gitter.im/MicroPyramid/Django-CRM on Jan 5th and there has been no response, that was discouraging for me. I believe the developers are active but much involved in other activities and do not have much time for this.

I'm reviewing odoo which appears to have much more activity which has a CRM app (plus many more). It is also on GitHub at https://github.com/odoo/odoo or for a demo/more information at odoo.com. (I wonder if the developers of Django-CRM might be better dropping this and rather becoming an odoo partner)

My experience is, that Odoo is practical far away from open source.

That's why Tryton or Flectra forked.
