Screenshot portal seems to be unstable in most of the desktop environments so move to a better screenshot backend that functions in most of the distros without disappointments.

Current Candidates are

  • scrot (better support for x based systems)

IMHO get rid of screenshots completely, let the app make the user pick an image file, and then process the file. I even say get rid of the clipboard stuff, let the app display the text same app window. If you really want, let the app window have a button to copy text to clipboard. Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply @hiren1771 as you suggested now the v2.0.0 comes with support for choosing image files for OCR operation.
