I found a way, you need to go to the “bottle configuration” section in Whiskey => enable Meta HUD and Trace Metal

I had the same, but steam still work. It’s just said on the top of steam window. But I have other issue - game crashes after a few minutes.

P.S. It might took about 3-5 min black screen before the capcom logo appears each time the game starts

@robbiemu Yes, it looks like Crossover + CXPatcher is the only way to play Overwatch. I haven't had any luck trying to run it via Whisky.

comments: DXVK seems to run better due to low memory usage. The game is not quite stable due to shutter because of the shader compiler. But I was able to go through to the entire tutorial. Most shutters occur when you enter new areas. I think more RAM will perform this game much better. Also, closing Steam and launching this game does help. (Run this game through SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe and DX11 mode "-dx11" or DX12 "-dx12".)

Have you tried using Async DXVK? I played a game with Crossover a while back, added the DXVK_ASYNC=1 setting to the bottle config, and after that, the shutters disappeared.

I will test it again later. I assumed that you have the same model? Also, Crossover has newer versions than what Whisky currently using. Maybe it could be part of the issue?

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the model. I have a 14' M1 Pro 16/512. However, I also had issues with shutters until I enabled DXVK Async.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the model. I have a 14' M1 Pro 16/512. However, I also had issues with shutters until I enabled DXVK Async.

I recently tested the game with DXVK Async. It does fix the shutters. But there still small shutters left. Just a load issues... Also, I reenabled the DX12 once again. It's little smooth and works just fine (small-medium shutters on every load). I am not sure. It's playable with either DX11 with Async/DX12.

I may will need to update the comment later with fixes.
