Comments
Tips
Even if condition 2 is satisfied, it may not be executed if condition 1 is not satisfied. |
Verified the success of compilation from version sonoma 14.4.1 to version command line tools 15.1. |
I had same issue with Steam not starting while having mirroring enabled. After disabling screen mirroring it started to work. But even then with Steam window open as soon as I changed internal panel in display setting to mirror external monitor - Steam window disappeared and appeared back as soon I disabled mirroring. Hope it helps someone. And thanks for great product! |
Can confirm that Steam UI does not work through Whisky with mirroring, whether it's enabled before launching or after. Thanks for your comment! |
Description
Attempted to install steam.exe using this platform, the steamUI webpage does not load, prompts to restart without GPU acceleration or to restart the UI component, neither of which work. Fresh OS on a clean drive fails as well
"steamwebhelper, a critical Steam component, is not responding. The Steam UI will not be usable."
Steps to reproduce
Fresh OS
New user (admin)
install Whisky (not via home-brew in my case but doubt it would make a difference)
Download .exe of steam
run the .exe
Expected behaviour
Steam UI should appear and prompt login etc
Logs
