PopOS not UEFI64 booting

pop-os_20.04_amd64_intel_13.iso
tested using VBox v5.
Boot from Easy2Boot to agFM - hangs (?) during boot (last stage just before screen clears and desktop shown).
If I UEFI64-boot to agFM then load Ventoy - Ventoy also has same problem.
Freshly made Ventoy USB stick also hangs on UEFI64 boot in same way.
MBR booting (Ventoy, grub4dos and agFM) is OK.
If I first MBR-boot to Clover UEFI64 - then load agFM UEFI - then it boots from ISO OK.

I can extract ISO files to a FAT32 USB drive.
UEFI64 boot in VBox 5 - same problem !
Maybe bad ISO build???
I notice ISO has symbolic links when using 7zip to extract files - maybe it only works if you dd the ISO as an image to a USB drive.

It must look for a USB drive.

but why Legacy-BIOS booting is OK in vbox?

If I first MBR-boot to Clover UEFI64 - then load agFM UEFI - then it boots from ISO OK.

maybe Clover UEFI64 on Legacy-BIOS has CSM?
