Simulating the fuel system

Just a question / idea - Could the fuel system be simulated? I feel like it would be interesting to play around with injector sizes and fuel pressures but what is in my mind at the moment is a simulation of the K-Jetronic injection system (CIS) as it doesn't depend on an ECU or any timing information, it's purely hydraulic and air flow controlled.
