ESP82 scripting : get a variable with HTTP

In my script, I have a variable I would like to publish over HTTP.

the IP/cm?cmnd=state endpoint is very handy. Is it possible to add custom JSON values ?

Or is it possible to add a custom http endpoint ?

I thought I could do it with the #define USE_SCRIPT_SUB_COMMAND feature.

Replacing a command and calling it with IP/cm?cmnd=mycustomcmd

I tried the very simple example bellow.

#MYTEST
print mytest
return 3

Calling it from the console works but the json result is empty unfortunately.

22:11:37.773 CMD: mytest
22:11:37.777 mytest
22:11:37.781 RSL: RESULT = {"MYTEST":""}

Is there any way to send custom result with custom commands ? that would do what I'm seeking I think.

So simple in fact.

I managed to achieve it using the syntax: script?<var> queries a script variable var

$ curl 'http://192.168.1.X/cm?cmnd=script?myvar'
{"script":{"myvar":2}}
