I discovered that what caused this problem (the error appearing out of nowhere) is related to this configuration that a third-party application automatically applies to the Argo CD's configmap.
We confirm that without this configuration, we do not have a sync error. Does anyone know what could cause this? |

I am facing an issue with ArgoCD where it suddenly started validating duplicate variables (typedLive and typedConfig). This is causing errors in workloads that have had these duplicate variables for over a year.
The major problem is that there are numerous already deployed workloads with duplicate variables, and the issues start appearing as users attempt to sync. This results in an unpleasant surprise for the dev teams and an emergency call for the platform team.
Even when the platform users remove the duplicity on their side, ArgoCD, while validating the Live Manifest, still does not allow them to sync. This necessitates the Platform team to remove the duplicate variables in the Kubernetes deployment, generate a new replicaset, replace the pods, and only then are the users permitted to sync.
I am currently using version v2.7.2+cbee7e6.dirty, and no updates were made when this error started occurring.
The error message is as follows:
ComparisonError: error building typed results: error creating typedLive: errors: .spec.template.spec.containers[name="service-api"].env: duplicate entries for key [name="DOMAIN_ES"]
Here are the details of the version I am using:
"Version": "v2.7.2+cbee7e6.dirty",
"BuildDate": "2023-05-12T13:43:26Z",
"GitCommit": "cbee7e6011407ed2d1066c482db74e97e0cc6bdb",
"GitTreeState": "dirty",
"GoVersion": "go1.19.6",
"Compiler": "gc",
"Platform": "linux/amd64",
"KustomizeVersion": "v5.0.1 2023-03-14T01:32:48Z",
"HelmVersion": "v3.11.2+g912ebc1",
"KubectlVersion": "v0.24.2",
"JsonnetVersion": "v0.19.1"
Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
