Persisting Running Workflows with argo_workflows table

Hi all,

My team has enabled persistence on our Argo server and has had some success in getting workflows to be stored in the argo_archived_workflows table. We are trying to see if we could have a table that temporarily stores currently running workflows (i.e. a currently running workflow is stored in the table, and removed once it is finished). Our initial thought was that the argo_workflows table takes care of this, but upon some testing/observation, this table is always empty. I haven't been able to find much documentation on what this table is supposed to do.

My questions:

• What is the purpose of the argo_workflows table? What is it supposed to store?
• Is it possible to have a persistence table that temporarily stores running workflows?
