I was using this screen saver on my computer but wished it had more of the features found in the MacOS version, as well as being less buggy and having better 4K and multi-monitor support. Not knowing much about C# and with the project seemingly dead I researched Windows screensavers and found I could make a screen saver with Node.JS and the Electron framework – both of which I am very familiar with.

I was able to make a basic screen saver app the randomly cycled through all the current Apple TV videos. It is nowhere near done. It can’t cache videos, you can’t choose which videos to play, it won’t auto update, and it hasn’t really been tested, but I’m hoping I can polish it up soon.

It does have one ‘new’ feature; you can toggle some text over the video that displays the current date and time. This feature needs lots of improvement, but it has lots of potential. The videos also seem to play smoother and change faster and (fingers crossed) it shouldn’t need any extra configuration to install.

@OrangeJedi - Thank you for continuing this work. I've been using your version and it's great.

Hopefully, your updated version gets more visibility because a general Google search still directs a lot of traffic to blogs and web articles that cite this version that's no longer supported.

Thanks! Your version works better than the 4k workaround this repo posted.

@OrangeJedi yep this project is reaaaly dead at this moment; but I'm super happy to link to your NodeJS version once it's in a stable state from the main page; any other projects as well.

@cDima Yeah, the project died for a while but it is is back in a stable state now. If you were willing to add it a link from the main page would be wonderful!
