You'll find the prototypes for the new design in Figma.
Below, you'll find an overview of the changes for the pages you end up on when clicking on the menu items.

Candidates

  • Upon opening the page, the overview of the first district should be shown instead of an empty "Cardroom"; #240
  • Remove "ballot measures" from the left-hand menu since it is the candidates page, not the measures page;
  • Change the color of the selected option in the left-hand menu to dark yellow (in line with the color in the header);
  • Change the design of the single candidates in the overview;
    • Color district 4 light blue and district 6 light green in line with the homepage;
    • Change "Total raised" to "campaign donations".
  • Remove the progress bars since they suggest that there is a maximum amount;
  • Change the color of the line beneath "councilmember district X" to a darker gray to later differentiate between main- and sub-topics;

Measures

  • The measures are now presented on a separate page without a link to the candidates page;
  • Header is colored blue in line with the overview on the homepage;
  • Use a darker and lighter gray to differentiate between main- and sub-topics;
  • Add a pie chart for opposing and supporting contributions.
    • If there are no contributions, do not show the pie chart but instead write "No money to support or oppose this measure has been raised."

About

  • Change the color in the header to light gray as to not collide with the colors in the overview on the homepage;
  • Link the website of Code for San Jose to the words in the text;
  • Add a section title for "About the volunteers";
    • Differentiate between "The current volunteers" and "The volunteer alumni"
    • Update the lists;
    • Remove the photo circles since there are too many empty ones and change the design accordingly;
      • if enough information can be gathered, add LinkedIn and/or Github and/or website of the volunteers (alumni).
  • Change "Special thanks" to "About the inspiration".
