Issue Description

When use the command podman --version the exit code get 125 not zero

Please provide more details, where are you executing this command? How did you install podman,etc..
If it exits with an error code does it print a error message?

Could be running out of memory?

I'm using C# to call the process and just want get the version information.
The version information can be obtained correctly, but will get the return code 125.

Then please provide a full reproducer with it. Do you get the some behaviour from your shell?
