The problem you are facing

The code editor seems very congested, I would love it if we are able to increase line spacing...to make it looks like vscode at least...this will definitely increase readability.

A option in settings to increase line spacing according to the user needs

Any screenshot? Have you tried changing the font?

Yes , I have tried changing the font..but its still the same..
I have attached a screenshot
left is CP editor and right is vscode(blue theme)
Please notice the line spacing....
right one is much more better for readability and debugging code.
