Am also running into the same problem uploading files when using the official OpenAI API.
I see in another discussion testing the RAG API it was suggested that issues with file uploads can potentially be caused by a reverse proxy, but that user ultimately resolved it without needing to modify their reverse proxy config. In my case I am having problems uploading any files, image and PDF files included. Here is an excerpt from my NGINX config listening on port 443 with HTTPS:

Hi there @danny-avila ,
Very excited to test out the new RAG API but running into this error message in the Docker logs for the api service.
In the browser UI it says that the PDF upload is "taking more time than anticipated" then fails with "an error occurred when uploading the file". It looks like my rag_api service is up & running, but getting a 400 Bad Request when making a call to the external embedding model.
Note that I am integrating with the thenlper/gte-large model from OctoAI, which according to their docs should be OpenAI embeddings API compatible. The RAG related values in my .env file are as follows:
The RAG values in docker-compose.yml are the default, and I have pulled the latest updates from the git repo as well as re-pulled the image versions to ensure they are the latest version.
