Couldn't fetch latests version of Directus from GitHub

Hello,

I'm trying to install directus 8. on the install page (second step) it keeps loading. in the console it says (Couldn't fetch latests version of Directus from GitHub).
However i see in the network that there was a response from github. here it is below

How to reproduce

• download https://github.com/directus/v8-archive/releases/tag/v8.8.1
• unzip and open baseurl/public/admin/#/install
• click on next
