Details of incorrect and correct details you have found

GitLab's support stretches the current major version and 2 versions behind, meaning, at the moment versions 16.X, 15.X and 14.X are supported.

What is the source website for the product and for its version information?

Hi @Shagon94, thank you for this issue. It's not clearly documented, but https://endoflife.date/gitlab document the OSS version, not the commercial one. This level of support is documented on https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/policy/maintenance.html.

From what I understood https://about.gitlab.com/support/statement-of-support/#version-support only applies to Starter (Legacy), Premium, and Ultimate Customers, so only to paid customer. So we could add and "extended support" column and document the commercial support here. But it is said on that page:

GitLab only backports fixes, not features and that too on a limited number of prior releases. For more details please visit the maintenance policy.

But this page is he one we already use, and it states that only the last three monthly releases are supported with patches. For example:

Security releases are a special kind of patch release that only include security fixes and patches for the previous two monthly releases in addition to the current stable release.

For very serious security issues, there is precedent to backport security fixes to even more monthly releases of GitLab. This decision is made on a case-by-case basis.

So there seem to be no guarantee that security patches are backported to previous major releases.

Do you have more information about commercial support of GitLab ? Does this support includes patches, or only other forms of support ?
