So, when I tried to build a simple moisture sensor that just has two probes, one sends power (with GPIO output) and one ADC sensor, by measuring the resistance of the soil between the probes, it worked in theory. I mean it worked in the lab but gave unreliable results pretty quickly. Consulting with professional electronic engineering and doing more in-depth testing, the very simple but reliable method is this:
Still, two probes are connected to the soil, each connected to an ESP32 leg.
So, as a somehow who can develop some, but new to esphome development process, what would be the approach here?
possible at all? Currently, I have to declare the role of each pole at setup, and cannot switch between them.
Also, how to turn HIGH, delay 6 ms (not polite in esphome environment) then read?
Thanks in advance!
