Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
October 1, 2020 Microsoft will retire Basic Authentication for EWS, EAS, IMAP, POP and RPS to access Exchange Online. From that date, all systems polling e-mail from O365 (Exchange Online) will have to support OAuth 2.0 (Modern Authentication).

Official information:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online

Describe the solution you'd like

Our outlook integration supports it.

Our outlook integration supports it.

Thanks for reply. I checked description of outlook integration, but there is no such information.
So basically, if someone doesn't purchase outlook integration, he'll not be able to use outlook/o365 from October?

If they do it, then yes. Google should have disabled it 2 years ago but held it over because of coranavirus.

I thought about moving code parts related to email account oauth from paid extensions to OS, but there are two issues: one technical, second is that I need an approval from my partners.

BTW last time I checked OAuth was supported only for Office 365. It was not supported for Outlook yet.

Thank you for clarification. I don't have issue with purchasing, just wanted to have clear statement. Probably a lot of users use outlook inside EspoCRM and it could be big surprise for them.

You're probably right, i'm using O365. They already delayed this change for more than a year because of coronavirus, but they'll do it sooner or later :) Same with Google.

I suggest updating the Outlook Integration extension page to include specific dot point that it supports OAuth (https://www.espocrm.com/extensions/outlook-integration/).

It's not immediately clear, you need to dig to find the information (eg by clicking on "release notes" or searching GitHub).

Has there been any more detail on this? Likely/unlikely?
