Upcoming 1.22 Release Branch Cut

Hello Istio Community,

The 1.22 release branch cut is planned for next week, Monday April 22nd 2023.

No new feature requests will be accepted to the 1.22 branch, barring exceptions (Any requests for late arriving features must be approved by the TOC). Bug fixes cherry-picked into release-1.22 will mostly be accepted to the 1.22 branch. They must pass all required tests and be approved. For questions related to PR’s that need to be cherry-picked to the 1.22 branch, use the slack channel for the 1.22 release.
