USB ports not working

I applied the preempt-rt kernel on my raspbian buster, with kernel 4.19.
I followed this article https://lemariva.com/blog/2019/09/raspberry-pi-4b-preempt-rt-kernel-419y-performance-test.
It was working fine until I upgraded the packages using sudo apt upgrade.
After reboot , none of my usb ports are working.
I tried rpi-eeprom-update , still the problem persists.
Kindly help resolve the issue.
