I mostly use LOOT for the extremely helpful messages that it can give about individual mods. I have a request for an expansion to this feature for the top of the screen where it lists "Total Messages".
In addition to Total, it could list:
New: Messages that were not there the last time the user opened LOOT
Unresolved: Messages that were there last time, but the user has not interacted with
Seen: Next to each message could be a check box where the user could state that they've "seen" the message and no longer wish for it to be listed as Unresolved.
The message displays would not be impacted. Just the list of total messages at the top.

This seems like it overlaps with #1083. If hidden messages were not included in the summary's message count, would there be any need for what you've suggested?
Hi Ortham. Yes, it could be similar to that. However I think I should have stated the idea in terms of the problem I wanted to solve rather than what I imagined the solution could look like.
In larger and larger load orders, when you add a new plugin and then see the number of messages tick up, say from 23 to 24, it can be rather hard to find the new message among a few hundred plugins, especially when the message could be generated by any of the old plugins about the new plugin. I'm simply hoping for a way to make it easier to find the new message.
