Describe the bug
I cannot navigate to other images in a folder filled with .tif files using the arrow keys, even though they individually open fine in Nomacs. I instead get the warning <folder> does not contain any image.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create an empty folder
  2. Download the attached image, unzip it and place multiple copies in the folder.
  3. Open one of the images in Nomacs.
  4. Press the left or right arrow key and the warning will appear.

Expected behavior
The prev/next image will be displayed.

Desktop:
Arch Linux
Image Lounge 3.17.2295, installed from the AUR package.

Additional context

  • This appears to be a similar issue to error folder "does not contain any image" #129 however I can't see TIFF files listed in the File Associations panel.
  • The above image was generated with oiiotool (from OpenImageIO):
    oiiotool --pattern checker 512x512 3 -d uint8 -o test1.tif

  • I have also noted the issue with other TIFF images.
  • Other image formats such as PNG seem to behave as expected.

Reproduced with nomacs 3.17.2295 (94e9ada) on Arch Linux.
This seems to be a regression, as nomacs 3.16 (flatpak) on Fedora works fine.

When trying to bisect, I found that this is not an regression. 3.16.224 on Arch also has the problem.
And 3.17.2296 (e9a25e5) works on Ubuntu.

So this depends on the build or system.
