One thing I really miss about an internal code tool I used at my previous job is a history viewer for a single file where I could go back to versions of the same file and see what's been added or removed quickly.
I could even compare two version that are not successive and see how the file has evolved.
Here is how you can quickly see file's history in vscode with gitlens:

Now if you click on the
History
button on a file on github, you get this:The only way I can do this right now is to clone the repo and view it on my local laptop with my local tools which is not pragmatic.
