BUG: when gui remote api is down search doesnt work #737

recreation steps:

touch ~/.tea/tea.xyz/gui/dev
take down app.dev.tea.xyz/v1 lambda
turn on gui and search

weird, because it should not be connected at all. The gui should work offline
