Looking at the intefaces I see that there's a cache function available in $app.
The documentation seems to not mention it. Is there a way to make the cache items expire after a minute, or something like this?

No, there are no auto eviction policies. Store items can be added or removed only manually at the moment.

Are you maybe planning to drop support for it?

No, it is just missing. The documentation will be updated after the ongoing refactoring.
