quill clean format button removes mentions

Hi,

I can create mentions in quill editor without any problem thanks to quill-mention module. But when i try to remove styling with the help of clean button in quill toolbar, it removes styling but also removes the mentions. How can it be prevented?
Below is the toolbar i used for quill.

toolbar: [ ["bold", "italic", "underline"], ["blockquote","code-block"], ["link", "image"], ["clean"] ],
