It is known that gossip is expensive in a large cluster. There is an idea for Cluster V2, with a specification in #10875, which makes the roles of node storing keys and nodes being responsible for the cluster consensus independent roles, so it will be possible to configure a large cluster in a more flexible way. I don't know if there is any progress on the implementation. |

3 active nodes and 2 standby nodes
In the case of one active node and two standby nodes, the cascading structure can be optimized: one active node, one standby node, and one standby node.
The cluster structure is as follows: The cascading mode greatly reduces the communication cost of Grosp and the load pressure of the master node.
