Hello,

we had a live cast today over VDO Ninja. And while one of the participants tried to enlarge the window of OBS, the other windows went dark. This means, that you could not see us anymore.

You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/live/9Wf-Sjta6ZA?feature=share&t=300

After 3 secons we went dark on the two upper windows on the left. After he reduced the window, it went back to normal.

Thanks for your work. Can you fix this issue?

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Can you describe to me what you mean by they enlarged the window of OBS?

Can you perhaps provide a screen shot of the button or what they did, and maybe the OBS links used? (minus the room/stream ID info?

I'm not sure I'm able to replicate the issue at the moment, so I may need more info

I cannot provide a screenshot, since we are not live anymore. But if you are on vdo.ninja, you can choose one window and enlarge it, so that you only see that window. For example. We were 4 people on vdo and one window is the OBS window. He tried to enlarge the OBS window, so that he only sees this window. And when he did that, the other people turned dark on the stream. As you can see in the youtube video.

Hope this helps as explanation.

I pushed some updates.

I was able to reproduce some edge-case issues when using the mixer app, but not really elsewhere. I'll keep testing though, but I'm not I'm finding other issues.

If you have the issue still, please be sure to refresh the OBS browser sources. It might be an issue with old and new versions of VDO.Ninja conflicting.

If the issue then still persists, perhaps you'll be able to share with me all the parameters you are using. Both for the guests, in OBS, and as the director. If I can reproduce, I can fix.

The next time, we're recording, I will test it. Then I will post here again to keep you up to date.

So, we recorded yesterday and it still happened. I have got the newest version of OBS, but when one of us enlarges the window in VDO Ninja, the other windows go black as in the video shown... still sadly.

Can you provide me the links you are using (scene / solo links ,etc), and more details as to how you are enlarging the video (due to there being different ways).

Are you using a self-hosted version of VDO.Ninja, and if so, did you update the code recently?

Are you using &optimize or any advanced options?

also, I don't think I updated vdo.ninja/beta/ , but vdo.ninja and vdo.ninja/alpha are currently updated with the newest code

I'm testing, and not able to replicate any issue at the moment.

You can perhaps send me links that are either censored (here), or via email (steve@seguin.email), or via Discord direct messages (discord.vdo.ninja)

Thank you for reporting back
