Insert Link modal - check symbol doesn't appear when clicking on "Open in new window" checkbox (ver 0.8.18)

Steps to reproduce

On version 0.8.18
as per this previus issue. Same exact steps.

Expected behavior

as per this previus issue
the checkboxes present in the modal should be usable.

Current behavior

They stay white/unusable instead.
The behaviour was perfectly described on issue 3142 and it's still not solved
