Can't Merge Table Cells

Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to merge table cells. I am trying to create a Quarto template / extension, and am using the following function to format the Typst output, as per the Quarto examples given. When run, I get the following error. What am I doing wrong?

Error:

You're using an outdated (<0.11) Typst version (or you overrode the default table by accident - less likely).

Thanks. downloaded latest binary and overwrote the one that came with Quarto and it works now.
