There is an effort to reduce BC AWS spend. As part of that all projects using VDP for internal (not customer facing services) are asked to move away of VDP on AWS.

As part of this issue we should:

  • The timeline of the ask
  • Define what and where we should move (would VDP on-prem work?).

The output of this is another issue, which describes the change we want to execute

Hello Antoni and Stanislav,

Hope you are doing well. As part of our ongoing platform assessment and optimization efforts, we are reaching out to understand the SaaS plan for the service Taurus, you are responsible for running on the VDP on AWS.
We would like to ascertain whether there are any plans to continue running the service. If so, how long do you anticipate continuing to run them on VDP on AWS.
If there are no plans to continue running your service as SaaS, please initiate the change request here VDP change w/ approvals to facilitate the shutdown and decommissioning of the service orgs from VDP on AWS.
If it is an internal service, we encourage you to evaluate running the service on VDP on OneCloud, hosted on-prem in our datacenters.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and let us know your plan.

Thanks,
Senthil
