Vowpal Wabbit is a machine learning system which pushes the frontier of machine learning with techniques such as online, hashing, allreduce, reductions, learning2search, active, and interactive learning. http://hunch.net/~vw/.
Harness flavour is used as the base container for derived harness "sdk" and "runtime" containers. This flavour bundles Vowpal Wabbit JNI library, it's used for Java applications to perform calls via JNI interface. It also comes with:
- OpenJDK8 JRE is built-in into this container. Note that the OpenJDK version customization is not intended functionality, since the actual version is defined by the upstream Alpine Linux version.
- Python 3.x runtime in fact the actual version depends on upstream Alpine version.
Note: this container is based on stackfeed/alpine.
