Follow-Up: Revert macOS CI Environment to Latest Version Once Python Compatibility Is Resolved

Background

Due to the current incompatibility of Python 3.8 and 3.9 with the macOS 14 runner images on a new architecture, our CI has temporarily reverted to macOS 12. This issue is intended to track the progress and plan the reversion to the latest macOS runner once compatibility issues with Python versions are resolved.

Task

• Monitor the updates from the GitHub Actions runner images repository and Python versions updates.
• Test the compatibility of the newer Python versions with macOS 14 once they are available.
• Revert the CI configurations back to macos-latest when it's confirmed that Python 3.8 and 3.9 are supported.
  • I.e. revert Temporarily Revert to macOS 12 in CI due to Incompatibility with Python 3.8 and 3.9 #1110

Acceptance Criteria

• Ensure that Python 3.8 and 3.9 run successfully on macOS 14 runner images without issues.
• Update the CI configuration files to use macos-latest ensuring all workflows run as expected.
