Get Linux process and kernel state information without resorting to GNU binutils programs or depending upon any package manager installed binaries which may not be available or accessible for security purposes. These tools aim to aid those leveraging procfs in order to break out of locked-down processes such as restricted shells, Solaris zones, chroot() environments, jails, etc. However, only Linux procfs is supported by code available at the current time.
